The Venue
Forming a relationship of integrity and trust is vital. 

• They are the boss / you are the guests
• This is a business opportunity for them to increase sales 
• Honour them - buy coffees and buy for others if they can’t afford it  
• Don’t get in the way eg move if necessary, go away if asked to do so
• Start and end on time

If you upset them, you may well lose your base for ministry.

Look Natural
If you appear off-putting, customers won’t ask for prayer and may avoid that coffee shop in future. 

• Never approach anyone – even if they look needy!  Wait for them to approach you

• Take your coffee with you and go to their table when you’re free (this makes it easier to move on to someone else)
• Talk naturally
• Keep your eyes open
• Resist holding hands or touching them in any way

Don’t do or say anything that might embarrass them or any other customer.
